About The Position

PLEASANT VALLEY COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT BELMONT ADMINISTRATION CENTER Systems Administrator 7:30 a.m.– 4:30 p.m. (8 paid hrs/day) Salaried/Year-Round Letter of Assignment Excellent Benefit Package TITLE: Systems Administrator QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a solid foundation of education and professional experience in data management and training support. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Proficiency with Infinite Campus (student information system) and Google Workspace for Education tools, including but not limited to Google Forms, Sheets, Docs, and Classroom. Working knowledge of SQL. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and preparing reports. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for providing training and technical support to staff, students, and families. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES Student Information System (Infinite Campus) Act as the primary contact for gradebook troubleshooting and training and support parents and students with portal account access. Perform centralized data entry for new student enrollment and demographic updates, ensuring accuracy for state reporting and other needs. Prepare, organize, and analyze student data and reports for administrators and staff to support decision-making. Collaborate closely with the technology department and school staff to maintain and document accurate student records and data systems. Research and schedule system updates and communicate changes to appropriate staff. Tech Support Provide timely support and troubleshoot software and hardware issues for faculty, staff, and occasionally parents and students via phone, email, and onsite visits. Manage library software administration, assisting library staff with system setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance. Organize and lead quarterly meetings with building administrative assistants to address technology updates and support needs. Compile and prepare detailed reports and data summaries for district administrators. Training Learn, implement, and demonstrate new software and hardware solutions to support faculty and staff technology adoption. Develop comprehensive training materials and user guides to facilitate effective software use. Lead or support training sessions, ensuring staff are confident in using district technology tools. Continuously update self-help resources to address evolving software applications and user needs. File/Database Maintenance Upload and manage files across district servers and applications to ensure data accuracy and currency. Monitor and maintain the integrity and consistency of data extracted from multiple databases to support district operations. Leadership Assesses, evaluates, coaches, and provides for training and professional development of Software & Data Specialist staff. Assigns staff ensuring that they possess and practice the values necessary to achieving the level of program delivery and customer service that is essential to a highly effective organization. Implement practices that focus on service excellence to all stakeholders. Establish an environment in which all staff members are comfortable and forthcoming in sharing their ideas, needs and concerns, and in which the staff collaboratively work together to seek solutions and resolutions. Miscellaneous Responsibilities Implement, configure, and support new and existing software applications to meet district needs. Manage and administer the Google Workspace environment, including app deployment, user account management, and system configurations. Perform additional duties as assigned to support district technology and operational goals. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Salary and work year assigned according to the Letter of Assignment. EVALUATION Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Director of Technology. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Medium Work - lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling 20-50 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently or up to 10 lbs. constantly. Stooping and kneeling occasionally. Reaching, talking, and hearing frequently. Must be able to remain mobile throughout the workday.
