Systems Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure, reliable virtualized infrastructure environments that enable mission-critical applications and services. This role involves working both independently and collaboratively to manage and optimize enterprise virtualization platforms across distributed network environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in virtualization technologies, VDI environments, enterprise storage, and Windows-based systems administration.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Proxmox, Cisco)
- Experience administering vCenter and ESXi or Horizon and Citrix within distributed network environments
- Experience designing and deploying virtualized solutions based on customer requirements
- Experience supporting distributed, multi-site enterprise networks
- Experience with enterprise storage technologies, including FAS over NFS
- Experience using VMware PowerCLI with PowerShell for automation and management
- Experience supporting Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments
- Experience administering Windows operating systems and Microsoft Exchange Server
- Proficiency with SQL commands and relational database management systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Must be fully cleared with a recent polygraph
- Must be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this posting
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure virtualized environments supporting mission applications
- Translate customer requirements into fully deployed and operational virtual infrastructure solutions
- Administer and support enterprise virtualization platforms such as VMware, Proxmox, or Cisco
- Manage hypervisors and virtual machine hosts, including installation, patching, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance
- Support distributed, multi-site network environments and ensure high availability of virtual systems
- Configure and maintain VDI environments using technologies such as VMware Horizon or Citrix
- Administer vCenter, ESXi, and related virtualization management tools
- Support enterprise storage solutions, including FAS systems utilizing NFS
- Develop and execute automation scripts using VMware PowerCLI and PowerShell
- Manage and support application delivery platforms such as Omnissa/VMware App Volumes
- Perform Windows systems administration and support Microsoft Exchange Server environments
- Execute SQL queries and support relational database management systems as needed
- Utilize tools such as JIRA, Bitbucket, and Bamboo to manage tasks and development workflows
- Manage moderate to heavy workloads while ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks
