About The Position

This position is for a Systems Administrator in Boulder, CO. You will work closely with a talented team to design, manage, secure and optimize on-site and cloud-based DevSecOps infrastructure for one of our Department of Defense (DoD) clients. Additionally, you will be tasked with improving the overall project management discipline of our clients by increasing collaboration and innovation and introducing techniques that promote adaptability and flexibility in the face of unpredictable circumstances, and that optimize return on investment expenditures. This role is an on-site role, and requires, at a minimum, a current US Government Secret clearance, with a TS with SCI eligibility preferred.

Requirements

  • US Citizen with a current DoD Secret clearance or higher
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in DevOps Engineering, with at least eight (8) preferred
  • ATO / System accreditation
  • Cloud architecture and administration - AWS
  • SA in Windows and Linux
  • System infra automation - Chef, Ansible, Puppet
  • Cloud Infra automation: CloudFormation, terraform, machine imaging, auto-scaling
  • Cloud admin: EC2, RDS, Directory Services, WorkSpaces, ElastiCache, S3, SQS, SNS
  • DSO admin: Jenkins, Nexus, Kubernetes, Docker, Bitbucket, Fortify, TestRail
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience in Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration Environment
  • Experience with security / software supply chain scanning
  • Ability to communicate technical information via oral presentation and written format

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical field (equivalent training/job experience is also acceptable)
  • Experience operating and administering in C2S
  • Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or equivalent are highly desirable
  • Experience working within an agile workflow
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR)
  • Current TS, with SCI eligibility

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement systems architecture for the cloud based unclassified development environment and the cloud based secret Factory Support Environment.
  • Support the design and iteration of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in the infrastructure environments.
  • Support the design and iteration of System infrastructure automation using tools such as Chef, Ansible, or Puppet.
  • Support the development and implementation of the Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Monitor and correct system performance issues.
  • Shepherd development activities through the life cycle process by applying appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools.
  • Prepare operating procedures/instructions and compile documentation during program development.
  • Cloud infrastructure automation (CloudFormation, terraform, machine imaging, auto-scaling, etc.).
  • System infrastructure automation (Chef, Ansible, Puppet).
  • Cloud administration (EC2, RDS, Directory Services, WorkSpaces, ElastiCache, S3, SQS, SNS).
  • DevOps administration (Jenkins, Nexus, Kubernetes, Docker, Bitbucket, Fortify, TestRail).
  • Setup, install, configure, administer AWS Workspaces. Maintain and restore backups and snapshots. Update system process documentation, guides, diagrams, and SOPs as needed.
  • Collect data describing the C2S environment at the time of the failure and performs other activities in support of Tier 3 maintenance investigation and resolution.
  • Support the creation, refinement, and implementation of program training materials required for the education and instruction of the program users and operators.
