About The Position

Sentinel is looking for a Systems Administrator to assist one of our clients. The Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization’s core IT infrastructure, including network and server environments, enterprise applications, and physical security systems such as badge and door access control platforms. This role serves as a key escalation point for complex technical issues, providing advanced troubleshooting and resolution across multiple systems. This is a contract to hire role reporting onsite at our client location in Traverse City, MI.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in a systems administrator role
Window Server and/or Linux Administration
Network infrastructure and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
Active Directory and identity/ access management)
Experience supporting physical security systems (badge/door access control)
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks (CMMC preferred)
Experience with application administration and support
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
