MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Systems Administrator Senior at GDIT, you will directly support the mission of the customer by ensuring the reliability, security, and availability of critical Sense & Warn (S&W) systems. You will provide hands-on administration and operational support for Windows and Linux environments across both enterprise and fielded systems. This role supports mission readiness by maintaining system availability, performing troubleshooting, and ensuring systems operate effectively in deployed and limited-connectivity environments. You will assist with system deployments, patching, backup and recovery, and documentation to support operational continuity and compliance requirements. Working closely with engineers and operational teams, you will help resolve technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement of mission systems. Your work ensures the customer maintains consistent situational awareness and operational capability in support of mission objectives. The Systems Administrator Senior must have: Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree Experience: 3+ years of related experience Technical skills: Troubleshooting, Active Directory, Technical Support, Customer Service, MS Office, System Software, Documentation, Maintenance, Windows 64, Installation, Security, Database, VPN, Networking, Teamwork, Operations, Questioning Skills, LAN/WAN, Deployments, Windows Server, Backup & Recovery, VMWare Software, Firewalls, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, Linux Security clearance level: DoW Secret with the ability to obtain a Top Secret US citizenship required Skills and Competencies: Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally, diplomatically, and tactfully across all levels of an organization. Ability to work as part of a cohesive team while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating systems and office automation software, including Microsoft Office and SharePoint. Additionally, candidates must be able to obtain a Class I worldwide medical clearance to ensure they are medically qualified to work in all global locations, including those with challenging conditions. The likely salary range for this position is $106,250 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
