About The Position

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Systems Administrator (NETAPP) for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard IT Support Services contract. NNSY's mission is to safely return warships to the Fleet on time and within budget. The NNSY CIO (Code 109) provides comprehensive IT and telecom support that maintains Fleet readiness in logistics, maintenance, engineering, supply, legal, readiness reporting, emergency response, and more. The CIO installs, manages, and secures all shipyard networks and systems; approves IT purchases; and runs a Navy/DoD-compliant Information Assurance program. It supports approximately 10,000 NMCI seats and leads cyberspace efficiency initiatives while managing SYLAN, SECNET, Mobile Workforce Enablement, NFPCICN, standalone systems, servers, wireless networks, circuits, applications, and devices. This position is fully on-site.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance required.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience administering NetApp storage systems in enterprise environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline or additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with: NetApp ONTAP
  • SAN/NAS architectures (NFS, CIFS/SMB, iSCSI, Fibre Channel)
  • Storage provisioning, replication, and performance optimization
  • Experience supporting storage systems in secure or classified environments

Nice To Haves

  • NetApp certifications (e.g., NetApp Certified Data Administrator – ONTAP)
  • Experience in DoD or federal enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with VMware or other virtualization platforms
  • Experience supporting backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Knowledge of enterprise monitoring and management tools

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the administration, configuration, and maintenance of NetApp storage systems supporting enterprise operations
  • Monitor storage performance, utilization, and availability to support system reliability
  • Support storage provisioning, migrations, upgrades, and hardware refresh activities as required
  • Assist with backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions in accordance with operational procedures
  • Troubleshoot and help resolve storage-related incidents and performance issues, escalating as appropriate
  • Ensure systems are operated in compliance with applicable security policies, STIGs, and operational standards
  • Maintain and update technical documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate with network, systems, and cybersecurity teams to support mission requirements
  • Perform routine system checks and operational tasks as assigned
  • Support day-to-day enterprise IT operations as needed
