About The Position

MarketStar is currently hiring a Sales Engineer with our NetApp team as a Remote or Hybrid (Ogden, Utah) employee. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for providing pre- and post-sales support with NetApp product sales and professional services. You will utilize excellent technical and relationship-building skills while working with NetApp's direct sales teams and channel partners. You will respond effectively to pre- and post-sales technical questions and conduct remote technical activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science; or equivalent work experience
  • Multiple years of experience in the sales organization of an IT infrastructure vendor as a systems engineer or similar role
  • Demonstrated expertise in the technical specifications required to sell data center-based products and services
  • Understanding of cloud deployment XaaS model
  • Engaging and persuasive presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
  • Effective client management skills
  • Ability to successfully manage technical professionals; both direct and virtual leadership is preferred
  • Previous sales experience strongly preferred
  • Internal applicants must be exceeding metrics in current position

  • Preference given to individuals with AWS, Azure, or GCP foundational certifications

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with channel partners and direct sales teams in support of pre- and post-sales situations; respond effectively to questions via phone or email; provide technical product and solution information; provide licenses to channel partners, and resolve customer entitlement issues
  • Apply NetApp expertise to partners and customers who are looking to deploy hybrid cloud environments
  • Collaborate with channel partners and direct sales teams to ensure partner SEs are prepared to size, design, demonstrate and sell client’s products and solutions
  • Remotely present or demonstrate more complex products and solutions
  • Guide partners to shape, create and deliver compelling customer demand generation activities, leveraging channel sales and marketing
  • Work with channel partner training team to ensure alignment of enablement activity with the corporate training and certification curriculum
  • Engage subject matter experts from the wider SE and PS teams to support the delivery of enablement activity
  • Generate storage system-oriented reports and unsolicited proposal materials for channel partners
  • Solve routine to moderately complex problems; research questions using a variety of resources
  • Follow standard Solution Center procedures; identify and escalate situations requiring additional expertise
