Tyto Athene is searching for a Systems Administrator Level II for a complex, multi-year contract to support the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) Information Technology (IT) Services. FRC hosts servers and services supporting the missions at multiple locations. The NIPR and SIPR environments utilize physical servers and a VMware virtual environment with storage and backup capabilities. Representative services include but are not limited to Windows Server and services, Linux Server and services, Print services, DHCP services, Cisco Servers and services, Web services, Database Server and services, and other AF/AFRC Business Systems such as, SAS Viya, Physical Access Control System (PACS), MCS Console. Responsibilities: Ensure NIPRNet/SIPRNet CAT vulnerabilities for each assigned end point does not exceed AFRC, AF, DISA, or DoD vulnerability thresholds; Must maintain <2.5 Weighted Vulnerability Score (WVS) per each assigned end point on an average of weekly scores for all but one week per surveillance period, and create/maintain approved Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) for vulnerabilities that cannot be remediated within the AMAC-approved system of record (DISPATCH). Ensure ACAS access rate of all NIPRNet/SIPRNet assigned end point meets/exceeds AFRC, AF, DISA, or DoD thresholds; Must maintain at least 98% access rate across all assigned end points on an average of weekly scores for all but one week per surveillance period and create/maintain approved Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) for non-accessible systems within the AMAC-approved system of record (DISPATCH). Maintain Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance and any other required information assurance actions. Current frequency is to generate and execute STIG compliance checklists quarterly. Applies to all system components, e.g., operating systems, browsers, installed applications, and add-ins as appropriate.Submit and manage applicable POA&Ms to mitigate unresolved STIG configurations Comply with CORA evaluation criteria: Generate reports for CORA data calls Submit STIG compliance checklists Computer Network Defense (CND) directives compliance reporting IAW TO 00-33A-1001 METHODS AND PROCEDURES GENERAL CYBER DEFENSE OPERATIONS ACTIVITIES MANAGEMENT PROCEDURES AND PRACTICE REQUIREMENTS The CFP functions in direct support of the unit’s operational mission by precoordinated with AFIN Mission Assurance Center (AMAC), applicable 688 CW AFIN Operations Centers of Excellence, MAJCOM Communications Coordination Center (MCCC), CFP, AFRC host bases, and other pertinent stakeholders on day-to-day support/maintenance activities. Contact the appropriate Government and/or commercial agencies to resolve maintenance problems. Ensure backups, restores, and monitoring are being accomplished in accordance with applicable procedures. Coordinate, document, test, validate, and deploy new technology provided by Government. Provide physical and virtual server support. Utilize Remedy, ServiceNow or similar Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) tool to document, coordinate, route, resolve, and close user issues and server/services issues. Conduct/assist with installs/configurations of the hardware and software for appropriate servers to DoD/Air Force specifications. Determine and mitigate AFNet/DISA-caused issues to AFRC missions. Support/complete Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) activities for all common services. Participate in Government program/project reviews, technical meetings, and briefings. Remediate vulnerabilities on assigned hardware and software.
