Digital Consultants seeks a Systems Administrator II to provide day-to-day system administration and technical support for NSWCPD Department 40 information systems in support of cybersecurity and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements. The role focuses on maintaining secure, compliant operating environments through system configuration, patching, troubleshooting, and support of vulnerability remediation activities for afloat and Platform IT (PIT) ashore systems.

Requirements

  • Clearance: SECRET (Interim Secret is acceptable), US Citizen
  • Certifications: IAT Level II. Must be able to obtain and maintain privileged access to DoD systems in accordance with applicable Privileged Access Agreements and DFARS 252.239-7001 requirements.
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a closely related technical discipline
  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of systems administration or IT support experience, including hands-on administration of Windows operating systems, system configuration and patching, user account management, and troubleshooting. Experience supporting RMF activities, including STIG implementation and vulnerability remediation, is required.
  • Physical Requirements: The candidate must be able to travel to other worksites as required and with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to sit, stand, use computers and monitors, and perform duties in an office environment for extended periods. The candidate must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion (e.g., moving a case of paper or similar task) that may occur occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Windows operating systems in accordance with security and operational requirements
  • Perform system configuration, patching, and updates to support cybersecurity compliance
  • Support implementation and remediation of DISA STIGs and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs)
  • Assist with vulnerability scanning activities, including ACAS scans, and support remediation efforts
  • Manage user accounts, access permissions, and system privileges in accordance with least-privilege principles
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system, workstation, and application issues
  • Support RMF technical activities by providing system data and technical input to cybersecurity personnel
  • Document system configurations, changes, and technical procedures as required
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity, engineering, and system owner personnel to maintain secure system operations
  • Comply with all applicable security, access, and privileged-access requirements, including Privileged Access Agreements and DFARS 252.239-7001
