About The Position

GCyber is hiring a System Administrator, to support our government customer in Fort Stewart, GA. As the System Administrator you will, be the point of contact for identified customer issues or requests As the System Administrator, you will: Install, administer, and maintain server hardware, virtual environments, operating systems, and enterprise applications, ensuring stability through monitoring, testing, and patch management. Manage Active Directory services, including user and group administration, permissions, Group Policy (GPO) configuration, and baseline compliance enforcement. Troubleshoot and resolve system, server, and user issues; collaborate with users to remediate incidents and maintain operational continuity. Implement and manage data backups, disaster recovery processes, security patch remediation, and compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulations. Use PowerShell to execute routine administrative tasks, perform system maintenance and collect operational data.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • IAT Level II Certification (i.e., Security+, CCNA – Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP)
  • One year of relevant experience in IT systems and server administration (DoD enterprise environment strongly preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Windows servers, including, Active Directory, and GPO.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing PowerShell scripts to automate systems administration functions within Enterprise IT environments
