The intent of this role is to provide support for the testing of equipment under development and for sustaining engineering tasks. This role will report to the Test Supervisor who will provide guidance on the creation and execution of Engineering Test Protocols. The position may also support the greater engineering team with design or assembly work to support general development tasks. Requirements

  • Good written communication skills.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude with ability to use hand tools
  • Working knowledge of MS, Excell, and Word
  • Must be enrolled in a bachelors degree in one of the following fields: Biomedical Engineering/ Bio Engineering Mechanical Engineering Chemical Engineering Biology
  • Physical Requirements for this role include: Alternating between standing and sitting Fine/ gross motor manipulation Hearing Keyboarding Lifting/ carrying up to 20lbs Moving objects Near visual acuity Remaining in a stationary position, often sitting and standing for prolonged periods Using hands to handle/ control/ feel objects, tools, or controls ability to wear PPE

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in SolidWorks is desirable
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced, dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation of Engineering Test Protocols to support the engineering teams.
  • Execute Engineering and software test protocols using nova biomedical analyzers or other lab test equipment.
  • Analize data and write engineering test reports.
  • Assist in trouble shooting of analyzers during the execution of test protocols.
  • Build devices or test fixtures to support the engineering team.
  • Write engineering change order or manufacturing variances.
  • Design test fixtures or jigs to support development.
  • Other duties as assigned
