About The Position

At General Motors, our product teams are redefining mobility. Through a human-centered design process, we create vehicles and experiences that are designed not just to be seen, but to be felt. We’re turning today’s impossible into tomorrow’s standard —from breakthrough hardware and battery systems to intuitive design, intelligent software, and next-generation safety and entertainment features. Every day, our products move millions of people as we aim to make driving safer, smarter, and more connected, shaping the future of transportation on a global scale.. The Role The Occupant Thermal Comfort (OTC) Feature Owner (FO) and Thermal Systems Owner (SO) establish strategy, methodology, and requirements for overall thermal system through hardware and software solutions, serving as subject matter experts to ensure customer, functional, robustness, safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements are met. FO/SO create and maintain the Feature Technical Specification (FTS) and System Technical Specification (STS) to meet customer requirements as specified in the Vehicle Technical Specifications (VTS), then decompose these requirements for allocation to supporting systems and subsystems such as Cabin Thermal Energy Management (CTEM). FO/SO are responsible for implementing new and existing technologies to enable OTC and thermal system strategies, understanding and managing the delicate balance between enterprise cost, energy usage, and design complexity to meet customer expectations.
