About The Position

The Manager-Contracts leads the preparation, negotiation, and acceptance of a diverse range of contracts, subcontracts, and licensing agreements for services, supplies and non-employed physicians in accordance with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of MultiCare’s contract and strategic sourcing activities. The incumbent serves as the contracts expert consulting with and advising leadership and other MHS stakeholders on major and/or critical contract negotiations to ensure appropriate evaluation of potential liabilities and assessment of risk. Identifies and assesses legal risk for business stakeholders, providing recommendations and risk mitigation alternatives. The incumbent ensures efficient coordination and implementation of contract terms and conditions across the organization in addition to providing staff supervision. Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Business Administration or a related discipline
• Advanced degree (MS/MBA/JD) required
• Minimum five (5) years of directly applicable contracting experience required
• Minimum three (3) years of experience and demonstrated skills in a supervisory or lead capacity
