This job coordinates, implements, controls, enhances, educates, and advises on all clinical application systems for pharmaceutical services. Evaluates, designs, implements, maintains, and troubleshoots computerized pharmacy information. May act as backup to other Information System (IS) jobs. Requirements

  • Education Required – Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy
  • Work Experience Required - 2 years of IT experience or 1 year of Epic experience
  • Certifications Required – Pharmacy license in the state of practice
  • Epic certification within 6 months of hire
  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of required job information.
  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout required job processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge in various aspects of Information Systems terminology, information system processing, and desktop.
  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to set priorities and work independently.
  • Ability to work and remain objective and professional under stressful situations.

  • Preferred - Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)

Responsibilities

  • Performs analysis, modifies, and supports assigned applications and business processes/functions.
  • Partners and communicates with assigned customers/end users.
  • Maintains and enhances professional competencies and industry knowledge.
  • Validates build, acts as a pharmacy clinical resource, and trains end users.
  • Other related duties as required.
  • Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
