About The Position

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a System Integration & Testing Intern to support the System Integration & Testing (SIT) team in configuring, assembling, and preparing analytical instrumentation systems. In this role, you will assist with mechanical assembly, system setup, and production preparation activities while following established standard operating procedures. You will also observe how configuration decisions impact system performance, quality standards, and customer requirements.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Basic understanding of mechanical or technical assembly concepts
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on technical work
• Familiarity with standard operating procedures and structured processes
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical assembly and configuration of instrumentation systems following established standard operating procedures
• Support system setup to ensure alignment with product specifications and customer requirements
• Observe and document how configuration adjustments impact system performance and compliance standards
• Assist with preparation and staging of components and equipment for inventory or deployment
• Support PC preparation and production activities related to main stock inventory
• Assist with basic product line setup and testing activities as needed
