About The Position

The System Integration Engineer supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will: Be responsible for developing strategic procedures and upgrades, improving network infrastructures, and managing systems configuration. Analyze the system's operation and its efficiency to support mission-capable functions and deliverable. Maintain the safety and security of the networks and system infrastructure ensuring its accuracy and smooth navigation for operational use, especially preventing unauthorized access and ensuring the systems operate in a predictable manner. Must have excellent knowledge of the technology industry and the latest trends, as well as a strong command of programming languages and system codes. This position will be filled and work onsite at Colorado Springs, Colorado

Requirements

  • Be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be DOD 8570 Baseline Compliant (CompTia Security +) and hold a professional level certification (ex. VCP,CCNP,and MCSE)
  • Required Minimum Years of Experience: 5+ years performing system administration related job functions. (i.e. Helpdesk, Service Desk, project leads etc...)
  • 6 years or more of general work experience
  • Significant experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft, Linux, and VMware environments.
  • Must have Secret security clearance and willing to travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Installing/Provisioning/Troubleshooting complex Enterprise systems, applications and software (COTS/GOTS)
  • Complete documentation, drawings, and instructions for customers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Significant relevant experience in supporting the sustainment of NISSC mission systems/subsystems.
  • Experience with other relevant missions surrounding the NORAD Northcom, Air and Space missile and legacy Space.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • 3 or more years of experience in software development – understanding the development process from end-to-end (use of git, package managers, remote repositories, branching strategies, scripting, and dependency management)
  • Experience with Linux command line tools (CLI) and VMware environments.
