Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least 3-5 years of experience working as a platform engineer in a production environment, with experience in system administration
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) platforms such as git, Bitbucket, Ansible, GitOps, and/or Terraform
  • Experience with cloud compute platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Strong experience with Ansible for automation or other configuration management platforms
  • Familiarity with CSI drivers and storage integrations for Kubernetes and cloud platforms
  • Demonstrated proficiency in scripting languages, such as Bash, for automation and task scripting
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and services relevant to cloud and container platforms, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, ingress/egress, and service networking
  • Experience implementing and operating monitoring, metrics, and alerting solutions for cloud and container platforms, with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot performance and reliability issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot container platforms and related components
  • Perform in-depth analysis for post-impact resolution, root cause analysis (RCA), remedial actions, and problem management
  • Troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines
  • Perform production releases adhering to change management guidelines
  • Participate in our Infrastructure Support team’s daily stand-ups, review open issues, and establish priorities
  • Contribute to managing the container support team’s incident and request queue and address tickets in a timely manner
  • Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory (AD) integrated authentication on containers
  • Monitor cluster performance, analyze logs, and proactively address issues, while collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed
  • Provide operational support and guidance to application development teams
  • Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and best practices
