About The Position

TechSur Solutions is a digital services company whose mission is to enable digital transformation for our customers to improve quality and efficiency. Based in the DC metropolitan area, TechSur specializes in advanced cloud services, modernization for both IT structures and applications, leveraging Agile development, and Data Analytics. Since we were formed in August of 2016, we have supported multiple impactful and exciting government programs. We are seeking a seasoned System Architect and Technical Leader with deep expertise in designing, developing, and delivering end-to-end Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong architectural skills with hands-on technical leadership to build innovative data platforms, advanced analytics systems, and intuitive user experiences. This role requires both big-picture strategic thinking and detailed execution across data integration, cloud computing, enterprise systems, and modern web technologies.

Requirements

Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise data warehouses, analytics platforms, and BI systems.
Strong proficiency in data integration, ETL design, and processing of large-scale datasets.
Deep understanding of cloud services and architectures (AWS, Google Cloud) with knowledge of cloud standards and federal cloud strategies.
Expertise in .NET, Java, web technologies, service-oriented architecture (SOA), XML, and security standards (encryption, PKI, secure web services).
Extensive experience with search and indexing technologies such as Lucene and ElasticSearch.
Expertise building custom data visualizations, particularly using D3.js.
Experience developing modern web applications using AngularJS, ReactJS, and responsive design techniques.
Hands-on experience with Pentaho Analytics and Pentaho Data Integration for reporting, analytics, and ETL workflows.
Experience integrating authentication and authorization systems (e.g., RSA, Active Directory) into enterprise solutions.
Proficiency in REST API design and service integration.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and drive complex projects from concept to completion.
Strong domain understanding of business operations, including financial systems, human capital management, and analytics delivery.
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide data warehouse and BI architecture to support cross-domain decision-making.
Define and maintain the architectural roadmap for BI systems, analytics platforms, and reporting solutions.
Establish best practices for data integration, analytics, visualization, and scalable system delivery across the organization.
Lead the BI development team and drive delivery of high-impact BI solutions, integrating financial, human capital, and operational data from internal and external sources.
Oversee design, development, testing, and deployment of ETL/data-integration solutions using industry-standard tools and custom frameworks.
Ensure solutions deliver timely, accurate analytics to business and executive users, enhancing data-driven decision-making.
Lead efforts to rapidly deliver business applications and analytics portals by leveraging COTS technologies (e.g., Pentaho Analytics, Liferay Portal).
Architect and implement a service-oriented solution enabling agile delivery of new reports, dashboards, and analytics services.
Drive modernization initiatives using RESTful services, secure integrations, and scalable UI technologies.
Champion the use of custom analytics visualizations (e.g., D3.js) to provide powerful, interactive insights on complex business topics.
Guide development of modern web interfaces using AngularJS and ReactJS to ensure intuitive, responsive user experiences.
Embed analytics solutions into systems and portals with seamless authentication and authorization.
Provide technical vision and mentorship to cross-functional teams, enabling strong quality, performance, and maintainability.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and industry best practices to continually improve BI delivery.
