About The Position

The System Administrator is responsible for providing first-line technical support and assisting in the maintenance of IT systems, including servers, networks, and end-user devices. This role involves monitoring system performance, resolving basic technical issues, and escalating complex problems to higher-level support.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in a corporate environment, retail industry a plus
  • Strong understanding Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP. Office 365 and cloud-based services
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routers, switches)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly self-motivated, proactive, able to work effectively under tight deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Linux operating system, PowerShell and basic scripting is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain 65+ Retail Stores network equipment and provide day-to-day support for their internet and Wi-Fi connectivity to MPOS and other devices.
  • Maintain and administer on-premises VMware virtualization environment (version 8.x), ensuring optimal performance, resource allocation, and uptime.
  • Manage windows-based MS SQL/database servers, file servers and print servers, managing folder/file permissions and ensuring secure access, availability and efficient resource usage.
  • Provide day-to-day support for Office 365 services including email troubleshooting, email filtering, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Diagnoses and resolve network and wireless connectivity related issues and outages; perform routine network maintenance and upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
  • Deliver remote and on-site IT support to various branches and satellite offices, ensuring consistent service delivery and issue resolution.
  • Administer WebEx phone system, handling user provisioning, extension management, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide escalated support across corporate and retail environments, including device setup, software installation, network diagnostics, remote assistance, and executive-level support and ensure smooth and seamless IT operations.
