About The Position

The System Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of on-premises computer systems, including servers, storage hardware, and software, as well as cloud-based computing and storage infrastructure. This includes security, backups, patching, capacity planning, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting/maintenance.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as computer system, networking, etc., equivalent to a four-year college degree.
  • 5 years’ related experience and/or training.
  • Must provide Farmers Advantage Customer Service to internal customers/co-workers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of company intranets, computer systems, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Continuously monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure seamless operations.
  • Install and upgrade software and hardware, ensuring compliance with licensing laws.
  • Implement and manage data backup solutions to protect against data loss and ensure recovery in case of system failures.
  • Implement and manage security measures to protect systems and networks from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Work with IT and Banking Systems teams and vendors to plan and implement software and hardware upgrades and new technologies.
  • Act as a backup to Network Administration staff when required, cross training as necessary.
  • Provide Tier 3 user support for Information Technology issues related, but not limited to: • Laptop and desktop computers • Network equipment • Server hardware and software • Voice-over-IP telephony system • Other hardware/peripherals • Microsoft 365 • Miscellaneous applications
  • Other duties as assigned.
