We are currently seeking candidates to join our successful Federal organization as a System Administrator for an enterprise cybersecurity opportunity supporting our DHS CDM DEFEND program. The position involves designing and executing cloud architecture blueprints and bringing them to reality. Candidates will design and configure build plans, code pipelines and create automated solutions that can be frame worked and re-used within the program as needed. This position is located in one of CGI Federal's offices in Fairfax, VA or Lafayette, LA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week.

  • Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DHS Entry on Duty (EOD) clearance
  • 5-7 years of experience Unix system administration
  • AWS Administration: 3 to 4 years of experience with AWS services, including API Gateway, S3, ECS, EKS, Fargate, EC2, Lambda, WAF, and CloudTrail.
  • Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting and using automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Experience working with automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Strong ability to troubleshoot Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Proficiency in Linux systems troubleshooting.
  • Security and Compliance: Familiarity with STIGs and the ability to apply STIGs to cloud images.
  • Experience in patch management.
  • Directory Services: Experience with Active Directory and LDAP.
  • Cryptography: Knowledge of PKI Infrastructure and cryptographic certificates.
  • Patch Management: Experience with patch management systems, including WSUS.
  • Service Configuration: Three or more years of experience configuring and maintaining services such as SFTP, SMTP, and NTP.
  • Security best practices (IAM hardening, encryption, patching, vulnerability management).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and changing environment.

  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) are a plus.
