About The Position

We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to install, configure, maintain, and support our server, virtualization, and network environments while ensuring high availability, performance, and security of IT services.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Extensive hands-on experience with VMware virtualization, including: Bare-metal ESX host deployment ESX host upgrades and lifecycle management Administering and monitoring environments via vCenter Using vMotion for load balancing and high availability
  • Solid knowledge of networking technologies (LAN/WAN)
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Microsoft Teams Telephony, Azure, VMware, and Citrix virtualization
  • Hands-on experience with load balancers, Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco wireless access points, and HPE routing and switching
  • Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy administration
  • Familiarity with Wyse thin clients and VDI environments
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, patch management, and SIEM tools

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers, operating systems, and network infrastructure
  • Deploy and manage ESX on physical servers and virtual machines on VMware
  • Perform ESX host upgrades (hardware and OS) using vCenter, vMotion, and VMware tools to ensure minimal production disruption
  • Monitor system performance and maintain high availability for ESX hosts and virtual servers
  • Administer Active Directory, including user accounts, permissions, Group Policies, and workstation setups
  • Configure and maintain DNS, DHCP, and IP address management services
  • Implement and maintain security controls, firewalls, and encryption standards
  • Perform system backups and manage disaster recovery plans
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner
  • Support and manage Wyse thin clients and virtual desktop (VDI) environments
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, apply patches, and perform system upgrades
  • Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, procedures, and IT policies
  • Support IT initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams
