We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT professional to join our IT team as a System Administrator. This position is ideal for candidates with a solid foundation in System Administration and a strong desire to advance their career. The successful candidate will be working with our infrastructure teammates to continuously maintain, upgrade, and secure our IT infrastructure, with a focus on virtualization, Windows Server, networking, and cloud technologies. This role can sit at our Lancaster or Harrisburg, Pennsylvania office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Systems Administration or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and experience with VMWare or Hyper-V. Experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022).
  • Proficiency in Active Directory and Entra ID administration and Group/Intune Policy management.
  • Familiarity and experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud configurations.
  • Intune device management/configuration experience
  • Windows Autopilot experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications such as MS Azure Administrator Associate, or MS Endpoint Administrator Associate are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain virtual machines to support various applications and services.
  • Maintain and update VM hosts appropriately.
  • Install, configure, and manage Windows Server environments, including Azure Virtual servers.
  • Manage Active Directory and Entra ID, including user and group administration, Group Policy, and Intune settings.
  • Independently research and troubleshoot technical issues using documentation, training materials, and vendor support resources.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in basic troubleshooting techniques and escalate complex issues appropriately.
  • Monitor and manage data backups for critical firm data systems.
  • Test restore functionality as defined by firm policy.
