About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer / Systems Architect to lead a major Exchange Server upgrade project. The ideal candidate will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME), owning the technical direction and execution of an upgrade from Exchange Server 2019 to Exchange Server 2025. This is a hands-on, project-driven role requiring advanced expertise and the ability to make architectural recommendations.

Requirements

Expertise with Microsoft O365
Strong experience with Azure
Experience supporting large-scale VDI environments
Advanced-level experience in systems engineering or architecture roles
Proficiency in Windows systems, hardware, imaging, and troubleshooting
Hands-on experience with VMware, Horizon, and enterprise support environments
Ability to provide project-level recommendations and lead implementation efforts
Imaging & deployment
Hardware installation & configuration
Windows OS support
VMware & Horizon
Azure administration
Office 365
Troubleshooting & systems support
PowerShell (optional depending on preferred workflow)
Experience in a Systems Engineer or Systems Architect role
Demonstrated experience owning complex infrastructure projects
Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Lead and execute the full lifecycle of an Exchange 2019 → Exchange 2025 upgrade.
Serve as the primary SME for the project, providing strategy, guidance, and best practices.
Collaborate with leadership and technical teams to plan, design, and implement solutions.
Work independently to determine the most effective tools, methodologies, and automation approaches (e.g., PowerShell, etc.).
Support and troubleshoot issues across the Microsoft ecosystem as needed.
