Honestly, it’s hard not to love this culture! System Administrator Cryptic Vector is seeking a sharp, hands-on System Administrator to own the backbone of our defense-critical infrastructure. You will keep high-stakes systems reliable and secure—managing servers, virtualization, containerized services, zero-trust remote access, directory services, and endpoint compliance—so our teams can execute mission-essential programs without interruption or compromise. We need an organized, proactive team player who thrives on taking full ownership of complex, secure environments where precision directly supports national defense objectives. Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience managing Linux, Windows, and Docker environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance, current active TS clearance a plus
  • Experience with Proxmox, ESXi, and domain-joined Windows/Linux systems.
  • Familiarity with PKI, NTP, SSH, and access control policies.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to train interns and engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, monitor, and manage Linux and Windows servers and workstations.
  • Configure, monitor, and manage Docker-based services across production clusters.
  • Administer Proxmox and ESXi hypervisors, including VM provisioning, storage, and network configuration.
  • Support and evolve the company's ZTNA architecture, ensuring secure remote access for all users.
  • Maintain Active Directory services (LDAP, Kerberos), troubleshoot user issues, and enforce password policies.
  • Enhance system-level auditing to verify end-node security compliance.
  • Stay current with emerging IT and security technologies and incorporate relevant solutions into Cryptic Vector infrastructure.
  • Document all changes in the ticketing system and collaborate with various teams/departments across the company.
