About The Position

This role requires on-site presence in Fredrick, CO, and occasionally Boulder, CO (2-4x monthly). The successful candidate will join the IT Site Support team in Frederick, CO, to drive excellence in IT Site Support, increase overall productivity and user satisfaction, and ensure business continuity. A primary responsibility is to provide a high level of hands-on support for onsite IT services to minimize business disruptions and implement new solutions. The role involves administering critical manufacturing and QC systems, providing user support, and working on IT technology project implementations in a GMP regulated environment. As part of the larger Agilent IT Infrastructure, the individual will operate with global teams of internal professionals and external consultants. Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience and certifications.
  • 8+ years of IS Applications/ IT Technology experience.
  • Proficient with IT technologies (networking, servers, databases, security, applications).
  • Hand-on experience with helpdesk systems, MS Active Directory, Windows workstations, Windows Server Operating Systems, Cisco networking, databases (MS SQL), telecommunications tools and Network Management Systems.
  • Proficient with system administration functions.
  • Experience with VMware Virtualization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting and resolving complex systems issues.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
  • Strong prioritizing and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little need for supervision.
  • Scheduling flexibility is required to work after regular business hours and/or on weekends and Holidays for critical maintenance and system implementation projects when needed and available for off-hours on-call rotations.
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing, share information and ideas with others, and possess good listening skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years in a GMP-regulated environment preferred.
  • Preferred experience within a GMP regulated environment, GDP, CFR 21 part 11 regulations or similar.
  • Desired experience supporting OT environments, manufacturing and/or quality control systems (PCS SCADA, BAS Siemens Desigo, QC Agilent OpenLab).

Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and support complex systems in the local IT Infrastructure (local servers, backups, databases, Manufacturing and QC environments) and coordinate activities with Agilent IT services and support teams.
  • Provide system administration services including user account management, Data Integrity setup, database administration.
  • Perform Project Manager responsibilities for local projects.
  • Lead or participate in local and global system implementation projects and introduction of new technologies.
  • Lead or participate in design and delivery of IT processes requiring coordination with internal and external partners.
  • Manage local IT related projects.
  • Partner with and provide local assistance to other IT functions that do not have site presence.
  • Ensure that systems are performing efficiently and with high availability.
  • Provide support to mission critical applications to restore service disruptions quickly.
  • Provide first and second level support to local and remote users for urgent local issues and escalations.
  • Involve other support organizations and vendors as needed.
  • Provide consulting and assistance to users on IT systems and processes; deliver user training.
  • Develop policies and procedures to improve support activities.
  • Propose process enhancements to improve quality of service, prevent future problems, and deliver a positive experience to employees.
  • Ensure that tickets are properly documented and communicated.
  • Develop user communications, user guides, and training programs.
  • Provide PC services including PC setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage compliance activities related to IT Infrastructure projects in a GMP regulated environment and ensure compliance to Agilent IT policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to Change Control requests and maintain compliance documentation for changes to IT systems.
  • Contribute to CAPAs, NCRs, URS, CSV.
  • Participate in Audits as needed.
