About The Position

The System Administrator 1 will work in our Information Technology department to ensure that our technology services and infrastructure equipment throughout the company are operating at peak performance. You will regularly collaborate with others from IT and across TechSmith to maintain the desktop computing environments as well as implement new and innovative solutions to address the needs of a highly technical organization.

Requirements

Strong background working with Windows and macOS based operating systems
Bachelor's Degree in related field or at least 1 year experience
You must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

Experience managing and administrating desktop and server systems with RMM solutions (Jamf, ManageEngine, etc)
Experience with Public Cloud Services (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud)
Experience with Windows infrastructure components (Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and others)

Responsibilities

Physical on-site presence required (can be 40-60% of the week)
Responding to internal helpdesk tickets and requests
Configuring and supporting end-user systems
Procurement, management, and distribution of company assets (systems, mobile devices, system peripherals) and subscriptions services
Deployment and configuration of operating systems and user software
Ensuring positive relationships and effective communication between TechSmith employees and IT team
Onboarding new internal employees
Administering training for internal employees on software and systems
Documenting IT systems and processes
Helping support a large multi-site network including hundreds of computers, servers, phones, and peripherals
Assisting with the maintenance and implementation of systems, services, and applications for the operations of the IT infrastructure
24-hour on-call rotation responsibilities are required
