Overview Configures, administers, and installs multi-user and client-server software. Monitors and maintains system performance, security logs, backups and user access and privileges. Qualifications EDUCATION REQUIREMENT Bachelor's degree from four year college or university in Computer Science or related field; or six years related experience; or equivalent combination of education or experience. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT An additional one year experience in troubleshooting networked work stations is required. COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Design software; Development software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of installation, troubleshooting, and optimization preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft, Linux, Unix, and/or various operating systems. Familiar with the notion of computer coding and programming. Works with several departments outside of IT on a daily basis. Must possess a high level of patience and professionalism when working with other employees who will have a varying range of computer competencies.
