About The Position
Support the company by developing new products, supporting existing products, and interacting with customers
Requirements
- Master's degree in chemistry preferred. Bachelor's degree acceptable with appropriate level of experience.
- > 3 years' experience in a chemical laboratory
Nice To Haves
- Experience in surfactant chemistry synthesis is highly desired
- Experience with epichlorohydrin chemistry is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Conduct bench-scale synthesis to support new product development
- Participate in process improvement and plant trials as required
- Provide technical support to the manufacturing plant
- Consult with quality control department and provide technical input as required
- Write reports on experiments and be able to communicate the results to management and customers
- Innovate new products and processes
- Mentor and develop chemists
- Be able to work and communicate effectively with personnel from quality control, production, marketing, and management
- Interact with sales representatives and customers to address technical issues and explore innovations
- Occasional travel to trade shows or customer visits with sales personnel may be required
