The Syllabus Administrator is responsible for creating clear, concise, and comprehensive aviation training syllabi for various U.S. Air Force aviation training programs. The syllabus administrator will analyze data and design curriculum and instructional materials using the systems approach to training (SAT) and instructional system design (ISD). Essential Functions of the Position: Analyzes data, designs curriculum and training materials, and translates principles of learning and instruction into instruction materials, activities, information resources, and course flows. Collaborates with Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to author and develop detailed syllabi for a range of aviation courses, ensuring alignment with the customer’s educational goals and AETCI 36-2621. Author, review, and edit syllabi and work instructions capturing accurate information and processes using proper grammar and adherence to established formatting guidelines. Conduct configuration management on syllabi and associated documents during lifecycle process. Assist the Courseware Department in the maintenance and development of training materials. Design and develop teaching aids such as lesson plans, programs of instruction, job aids and student materials using data item descriptions (DIDs). Performs data entry and maintenance on database for management of syllabi and training standards. Other duties as assigned.
