Switch Technician (B) - 1st Shift
About The Position
Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Switch Technician (B) - 1st Shift to join our team in Bethel, CT! The core hours are 7 am - 3:30 pm. The hourly rate for this position is $22.50 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. The Electro-Mechanical Technician (Switch) is responsible for loading test stands and setting up testing for very small and intricate parts. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge in reading, interpreting, and following technical work instructions and blueprints. This first shift position is well suited for a patient individual who is a fast learner, is focused on quality output, and enjoys working in a demanding atmosphere.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.

- Ability to interpret/follow written work instructions, visual aids, sketches and blueprints.
- Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Mid-level assembly, calibration & ATP
Responsibilities
- Set up, start and then break down test ovens which contain small electro-mechanical parts
- Interpret customer and supplier requirements (via blueprints and work instructions)
- Recommend design and process improvements to enhance manufacturability
- Perform visual inspection of parts
- Maintain quality records
