About The Position

Lead with precision. Build a culture of safety and quality. Imagine stepping up to a Star or Citizen sliding headstock lathe, loading the bar feeder, and bringing the first part off exactly to the Dimensional Control Plan (DCP). In this lead role, you own the setup, the process, and the standard—while guiding others to meet it. How you'll make an impact Own full setup and operation of Star/Citizen CNC Swiss equipment Prepare, interchange, and verify cutting tools; plan tooling ahead from the parts schedule Maintain coolant and lubrication levels to spec; keep systems running smoothly Ensure machines are cleaned before/after use and operator areas remain safe and orderly Keep the bar feeder continuously supplied throughout the shift Deliver parts to DCP and communicate daily quality updates to the supervisor Execute preventative maintenance and escalate significant machine issues Work strictly to the ISO-based QMS, including all work instructions and the setup procedure list Record and monitor task-in/task-out events and daily production activity Assist in supervising Swiss Operators and support disciplinary actions when required Verify every setup for procedural compliance and dimensional accuracy Adhere to internal rules, OSHA, and outside agency safety requirements Handle additional responsibilities as assigned What success looks like Within your first weeks, you’ve standardized your setup flow, reduced changeover friction, and ensured that bar feeders run uninterrupted. Quality holds to plan, maintenance is proactive, and the team follows the QMS with confidence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of CNC manufacturing experience (required)
  • GD&T comprehension and application
  • Root-cause troubleshooting
  • CNC machine installation and corrective repair
  • Efficient production setups and changeovers

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of CNC Swiss machining experience (preferred)
