Join our project-based field team as a Swiss-Type CNC specialist. You’ll travel to different facilities, set up precision Swiss lathes, and produce tight-tolerance components while collaborating with engineering and production to refine processes. A Day on Assignment You arrive at a new site, review drawings with the production lead, verify tooling and offsets, and bring a Swiss machine online. Through the shift, you monitor dimensions with precision gauges, troubleshoot issues, and adjust programs or tooling paths to hold spec. You wrap by documenting results and sharing improvement ideas with the on-site team. Core Responsibilities Set up and operate Swiss-type CNC machines to manufacture high-precision parts to print. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan setups and cycles. Conduct routine maintenance and diagnose/troubleshoot CNC equipment issues. Uphold safety procedures and quality standards throughout every operation. Partner with engineering and production to optimize tooling, cycle times, and programs. What You’ll Need Hands-on experience as a Swiss CNC machinist or in a closely related role. Strong command of CNC programming and modern machining methods. Ability to read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation. Proficiency with precision metrology tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges). Sharp problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail. Willingness to travel and succeed across varied shop environments. Travel & Work Environment This is a contract, travel-based position. Assignments may vary in duration and location, requiring adaptability to new teams, machines, and processes.
