Swim Lessons Instructor
About The Position
The part-time seasonal swim lesson instructor is responsible for the instruction and safety of swim lesson participants during both morning and early evening hours. This position involves participation in training, staying up to date regarding new policies and procedures and proper response to emergency/medical situations. Swim lesson instructors may hold another position at the facility such as lifeguard or guest service, but this is not required. Pre-season training begins in early May. Swim Lessons run from June 8th through August 1st. Anticipated hours for the Swim Lesson Instructor position include: Mondays-Thursdays, 8:30am-11am Saturdays, 9:30am-11am Private Lessons offered at varying dates and times including mornings, mid-days, evenings, and/or weekends
Requirements
- Candidate must be 15 years of age or older.
- Candidate must successfully complete the preseason instructor training and attend in-service training throughout the season.
- Previous experience with children of varying ages is required.
- Candidate must possess excellent leadership abilities and public relation skills.
- Candidate must be available for flexible hours during the summer.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with aquatic instruction is preferred but not required.
