About The Position

The City of O'Fallon is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Volleyball Instructor for private lessons to lead and inspire youth participants in our volleyball programs. This position involves coaching, developing curriculum, and enhancing the overall experience of recreational volleyball for participants and their families.

Requirements

• Knowledge of program rules, set-up procedures, and customer service standards.
• Proficiency in coaching and instructing volleyball programs.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and adept at engaging with the public.
• Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with high school completion or equivalent.
• Possession of, or ability to readily obtain, a valid driver's license issued by the State of Missouri.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in coaching or instructing volleyball is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coach and instruct youth volleyball players, to foster skill development and enjoyment.
• Provide information and assistance to participants and their parents, ensuring a supportive and inclusive environment.
• Research and propose new programs, keeping up with trends and changes in volleyball rules and training methodologies.
• Offer input for the improvement and expansion of recreation programs.
• Develop program curriculum and schedules tailored to the needs of participants.
