Logan Health Medical Fitness Center is looking for enthusiastic, safety-minded, and engaging Swim Instructors to teach both group and private swim lessons in our growing aquatic program! Requirements

  • Are at least 16 years old
  • Are enthusiastic, patient, and passionate about teaching
  • Communicate well with children, adults, and parents
  • Can keep classes on track with confident class-management skills
  • Are dependable, organized, and self-motivated
  • Are excited to teach both group and private lessons
  • Are able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Are comfortable learning and using basic computer programs (Microsoft Office, scheduling tools, etc.)
  • Must complete LHMFC Swim Instructor Training within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Group lessons: National aquatic/swim instructor certification preferred
  • Private lessons: National aquatic/swim instructor certification required
  • Heart Saver AED/CPR preferred (or must obtain within 60 days of hire)

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality swim instruction using LHMFC’s established progressions and teaching methods
  • Create a safe, encouraging, and fun learning environment for swimmers of all ages
  • Use “show, tell, and do” techniques to teach proper skills and stroke development
  • Adapt lessons to each swimmer’s abilities and goals using clear, age-appropriate language
  • Prepare lessons that keep students engaged, progressing, and excited to return
  • Maintain a clean and organized pool deck
  • Demonstrate knowledge of our emergency action plan and perform lifesaving duties if necessary
  • Work both independently and as part of our supportive aquatic team
