About The Position

The Sweets & Coffee Truck Manager is the owner of Dolce Bakery’s mobile coffee experience, responsible for building, operating, and growing the coffee truck program. This role blends operations, hospitality, and entrepreneurship—overseeing everything from coffee offerings and inventory to scheduling, event execution, and daily service. This individual creates a warm, welcoming, and high-quality customer experience wherever the truck goes, while ensuring consistency with Dolce’s brand, standards, and values. The Sweets & Coffee Truck Manager operates with a high level of ownership, creativity, and accountability, treating the truck as their own business within Dolce.

  • Previous experience in coffee, food service, or hospitality required
  • Experience managing operations, inventory, or a small business strongly preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a small, mobile environment
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to operate equipment and potentially drive or transport the truck

Responsibilities

  • Own all aspects of the coffee truck program including setup, execution, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for mobile service, setup, breakdown, and cleanliness
  • Ensure the truck is fully stocked, organized, clean, and operating efficiently at all times
  • Maintain all equipment, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs as needed
  • Curate and evolve the coffee and beverage menu in alignment with Dolce’s brand and seasonal offerings
  • Source, order, and manage inventory including coffee beans, syrups, milk, and supplies
  • Monitor product quality and consistency, ensuring every drink meets Dolce standards
  • Partner with bakery leadership to incorporate Dolce products into the mobile offering
  • Manage the sweets & coffee truck calendar including daily locations, private events, and special opportunities
  • Coordinate logistics for events, including timing, setup requirements, staffing, and product needs
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities for the truck (events, partnerships, pop-ups, etc.)
  • Deliver exceptional, warm, and engaging customer service in every interaction
  • Create a fun, energetic, and inviting atmosphere at the truck
  • Make thoughtful product recommendations and educate customers on offerings
  • Handle customer concerns with professionalism and a solution-oriented mindset
  • Track inventory levels, minimize waste, and manage ordering efficiently
  • Monitor daily sales, costs, and performance of the truck
  • Support pricing decisions and profitability of the program
  • Accurately handle cash, POS transactions, and reporting
  • Train and lead additional team members working on the truck
  • Set expectations for service, efficiency, and cleanliness
  • Lead by example with strong work ethic, accountability, and positivity
