About The Position

The Software Portfolio Analyst is responsible for providing actionable insights and expert advice through methodical investigation, analysis, and presentation of business and software data. By leveraging both business needs and advanced analytics skills, the Analyst delivers secured conclusions on current portfolio capabilities and acts as an advisor to decision makers. This role will report to the Sr Director of Business Solutions Enablement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • In-depth conceptual and practical knowledge of business analytics and software portfolio management.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, statistical analysis, and data visualization techniques.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • Sound judgment based on analyzing multiple sources of information.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing software portfolios and renewal strategies is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage software renewal strategy, process, and proactive review cycles.
  • Validate data availability and quality for business analysis purposes.
  • Turn data analysis into clear insights and actionable recommendations for decision makers.
  • Create and present clear visualizations to communicate portfolio status and performance.
  • Collect and assess inputs to identify gaps and potential business opportunities.
  • Define data analysis approach and methodology that fits the business need.
  • Collect continuous feedback to improve SW renewal processes and identify optimization or renegotiation opportunities.
  • Monitor intake process (such as Basecamp), ensuring new software processes are functioning as expected, and monitor SLAs and progress.
