This is a hybrid position, with a work location at our Commercial Lending Department at 4812 Georgia Ave, NW, Washington, DC. Industrial Bank provides health, dental, vision, 401k, performance bonuses, vacation, sick/safe pay, personal days, company paid short and long-term disability and life insurance plan.  The salary range for this position is: $195,974.92 to $ 287,354.54 We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chief Lending Officer Summary: The Chief Lending Officer (CLO) is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for the management of the consumer and residential loan departments, including loan production, credit quality and compliance. 

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related discipline; master’s degree preferred
  • 10- 14 years of Commercial loan and banking experience with complex accounts
  • Knowledge of federal bank regulations.
  • Knowledge of marketing and relationship management practices.
  • Knowledge of financial and credit risk analysis.

Responsibilities

  • The position serves as the primary contact for the lending division, including communications with Executive management and other departments.
  • Develops new commercial loan business by maintaining contact with current and potential customers and by following-up on leads provided by other bank officers and staff.
  • Oversees the credit quality of the commercial and commercial real estate loan portfolios through following the Bank’s credit policy and approval process.
  • Responsible for maintaining delinquencies and loan exceptions within acceptable levels.
  • Acts as a loan officer for the more important or more difficult accounts, receives plus processes applications for loans to finance the growth and operations of business enterprises.
  • Prepares financial analysis of the businesses, approves or obtains approval to make loans, and closes the loan to protect the assets of the Bank.
  • Reviews loan documents and maintains a relationship with borrowers to be aware of changes to business conditions and to respond quickly if loan payments become delinquent.
  • Manages the commercial and commercial real estate budget with emphasis on net asset growth and expense control.
  • Applies the Bank’s underwriting criteria to determine the risk rating of the loan
  • Manages a team of Commercial and Commercial Real Estate Lenders, as well as Portfolio Managers
