About The Position

The Role As the SVP and Head of Enterprise Analytics Platform, you will be responsible for defining and executing the long-term vision and strategy for the firm's analytical technology stack, which supports enterprise-wide descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics at Fidelity Investments. This position is accountable for leading the strategic advancement of the analytics platform beyond its current capabilities, ensuring that it consistently delivers excellence in scalability, performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency across all Fidelity business units. Additionally, this role is tasked with overseeing both the development of future-state solutions and the effective management and governance of the existing Snowflake-on-AWS environment. This position reports directly to the SVP & CIO, Global Head of Enterprise Data and AI. The preferred locations for this role are Boston, MA; Westlake, TX; or Durham, NC, though flexibility will be considered for highly qualified candidates. Your responsibilities include: Platform Strategy & Vision: Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the entire Analytics Platform, driving adoption of modern, cloud-native data consumption patterns (e.g., Data Mesh principles, Data Fabric architecture, advanced data virtualization, etc.). Engineering Leadership: Direct the Platform Engineering and Data Engineering teams responsible for the ingestion pipelines, data modeling, data quality enforcement, and self-service provisioning capabilities. Technology Ownership: Full P&L and operational oversight for the Enterprise Analytics Platform Ecosystem, including workload management, security hardening, governance, and cost optimization at scale. Tooling & Enablement: Govern the selection, procurement, and standardization of Business Intelligence (BI) Tools and Engineering Solutions to ensure consistent user experience, performance, and compliance across consumer-facing and internal BI applications. Operational Excellence: Establish rigorous Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and run the Platform Operations function, ensuring 24/7 availability and rapid incident resolution for all mission-critical analytical workloads.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced STEM degree preferred.
• 15 + years of general experience and 10+ years of experience in leading teams with data engineers, software engineers, cloud architects, and analysts (or data scientists) to deliver data and analytics work products.
• Experience with modern data and analytics reference architecture, including ML Ops, model management, data pipeline management, and visualization.
• Experience with major cloud platforms such as Snowflake and AWS (or other public cloud).
• Capability to drive open-source implementation, public cloud development environment with hands-on experience with development operations, automation, and testing technologies.
• Strong executive communication & leadership presence, engaging with executive leadership (C-Suite) are required to frequently participate in core initiatives and has broad exposure to executive leadership.
• Consistent record of operations collaboration and delivery with the ability to build key relationships and influence business partners on enterprise objectives.
• Ability to challenge the status quo and facilitate the exchange and creation of ideas to address business challenges and improve performance.
• Excellent talent skills and agile operating model experience with ability to develop impactful teams by setting clear goals and holding self and others accountable to standards of excellence.
• Strategically minded; enabling ability to lead the development and implementation of an enterprise strategy and achieve financial and growth goals.
