About The Position

The Sustaining Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving existing products and manufacturing processes to ensure consistent quality, performance, and efficiency. This role works cross-functionally with production, quality, sourcing, and design teams to resolve technical issues, implement process improvements, and support lifecycle management of current product lines.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
3+ years of experience in manufacturing, product engineering, or technical support, preferably in footwear or consumer goods.
Experience with CAD or parametric modeling tools (Inventor is preferred)
Strong problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and tooling used in footwear production.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and operational teams.

Responsibilities

Monitor and troubleshoot production issues related to existing footwear products.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and improve manufacturing efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement design changes, material substitutions, or tooling updates.
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality or performance concerns.
Maintain accurate documentation of product specifications, process changes, and engineering updates.
Assist in cost reduction efforts through material optimization and process refinement.
Ensure compliance with manufacturing standards and product performance requirements.
