Position Description: Sustainability Interns will apply their knowledge and experience at a fast-paced, innovative company while working with the latest technology and tools. Interns will contribute to meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor. If you are passionate about processes and sustainability, our internship is the perfect fit for you. We will offer one internship each year, with a focus on every aspect of our sustainability program.

Requirements

  • Candidates are preferred to be pursuing a 4-year degree in Sustainability and Environmental Management, Civil, Structural, Architecture, or Construction Management at an accredited university
  • Computer software - Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to seek out technical solutions and be self-directed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced virtual environment, while communicating with internal stakeholders regarding the status of key deliverables
  • Task-oriented with strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Visiting job sites to assist with submittal reviews and Green Badger tracking (our LEED tracking software)
  • Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon data gathering
  • Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and submittal reviews
  • Developing and reviewing LEED requirements for projects
  • Embodied carbon tracking
  • Jobsite wellness program management
  • Implementing jobsite sustainability process

  • Compensation Range: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending on project location, plus housing or housing allowance.
