About The Position

We are seeking a Sustainability Intern for our Summer 2026 Internship Program, which runs from May to August, with dates potentially varying based on individual class schedules. This position is located in Appleton, WI. The intern will primarily focus on a project involving research into the categories of Scope 3 emissions as defined by the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol, and identifying best practices and case studies for Scope 3 reporting. Key tasks include building relationships with internal team members to identify necessary Scope 3 information, and collecting and aggregating data for emissions reporting. The intern will have access to the sustainability team, business unit stakeholders, and U.S. Venture support team stakeholders, and will present a final readout of their Scope 3 emissions work to the Sustainability Team and other internal stakeholders. Potential secondary projects include assisting with U.S. Venture Open Sustainability initiatives, such as waste and recycling programs, and volunteering at the U.S. Venture Open.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Sustainability, Research or Data/Surveying background
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Heightened attention to detail
• Self-motivating and intellectually curious

Responsibilities

• Research on the categories of scope 3 emissions as outlined by the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol
• Research on best practices and/or case studies of scope 3 reporting
• Relationship building with internal team members to identify required scope 3 information
• Data collection and aggregation for emissions reporting
• Access to sustainability team, business unit stakeholders, and U.S. Venture support team stakeholders
• Final readout of scope 3 emissions work to Sustainability Team and other internal stakeholders
• Assisting with U.S. Venture Open Sustainability initiatives (like waste and recycling program) as needed
• Attendance at the U.S. Venture Open as a volunteer
