About The Position

Facilities Management Sustainability and Energy Management will provide direction and leadership in campus-wide sustainability efforts, including achieving CSU's plan to be carbon neutral by the year 2040. This position is responsible for coordinating energy, water, and resource efficiency and conservation programs, development and implementation of renewable electricity projects and a variety of other FM and university-level initiatives to advance sustainability at CSU. This position will report to the Facilities Management Associate Vice President of Capital Planning and Programming, with daily coordination with the various FM directors. In addition, this position may serve on the President's Sustainability Commission (PSC).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10 or more years of experience in one or more of the following areas: energy and water efficiency, conservation, renewable electricity, green buildings, sustainability initiative reporting/ benchmarking/communications, or sustainability project management.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in a related field
  • LEED AP or LEED Green Associate certification
  • International Society of Sustainability Professionals SEA or SEP certification
  • Demonstrated experience in managing facilities and infrastructure sustainability programs at an institution of higher education or similar campus-type environment.
