About The Position

The Sustainability Analyst serves as the central owner of sustainability data and reporting across the organization. This role is responsible for managing the infrastructure that ensures our products, packaging, and operations meet evolving retailer needs, global regulations, and ESG disclosure requirements. This position combines technical data expertise with cross-functional work to drive accurate reporting, maintain audit readiness, and benchmark progress against company sustainability initiatives. The role reports to the Director of Sustainability and partners closely with Product Development, Packaging, Procurement, Regulatory, Finance, IT, Supply Chain, and Marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in sustainability, ESG reporting, compliance, or environmental data management, preferably within beauty or consumer goods.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks and GHG accounting methodologies.
  • Experience with retailer sustainability programs and regulatory compliance.
  • Hands-on experience participating in PLM/ERP or data system implementations.
  • Familiarity with packaging materials, recyclability standards, and circular economy principles.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills with ability to manage complex datasets and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Experience with B Corp certification and/or Life Cycle Assessments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own collection, validation, and governance of sustainability data across product lifecycle, supply chain, and corporate operations.
  • Partner with leadership on sustainability data requirements across enterprise systems (e.g., PLM/ERP including Specright and SAP) to ensure integrity, traceability, and reporting capability.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and implement validation processes to ensure accuracy across internal and external platforms, such as EcoVadis.
  • ESG reporting and disclosures in alignment with recognized frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting (Scopes 1, 2, and 3) and track progress against climate and sustainability targets, providing accurate data and actionable insights for internal teams.
  • Manage data collection and analytics for the annual ESG report.
  • Partner with leadership on compliance with key retailer sustainability programs and emerging global regulations related to extended producer responsibility (EPR), climate disclosure and environmental claims.
  • Lead B Corp certification and recertification processes.
  • Work on Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and translate findings into actionable product and packaging improvements.
  • Support third-party sustainability certifications
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform product launches, packaging innovation, and sustainability roadmaps.
  • Develop internal dashboards and reporting to communicate performance to leadership.
