Overview The Analyst, Sustainability candidate has a strong interest in sustainability and a desire to achieve sustainability goals for Bellwether and its institutional clients. The Analyst, supports our client reporting efforts and is responsible for the collection and analysis of real estate sustainability data across multiple portfolios. This role is expected to develop a deep understanding of the material reporting frameworks and requirements. The Analyst, Sustainability includes cross-functional involvement with many aspects of the Bellwether real estate platform, our clients and external parties, providing opportunities for professional growth. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Deep interest in sustainability and the commercial real estate industry
  • A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science/Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Sustainability Management, Business, Data Science or a related field
  • Job Knowledge & Technical Ability: Capable of managing multiple projects and workstreams in a collaborative and dynamic environment. Strong analytical skills and ability to handle high-volume datasets. Ability to stay knowledgeable to changes in the sustainability market landscape. Proven ability to initiate ideas and implement new processes to support net zero and decarbonization goals.
  • Initiative & Dependability: Ability to perform responsibilities independently and proactively, solve problems, and improve processes and/or services. Self-directed, takes initiative and responsibility, ensures completion of tasks.

  • An advanced degree in similar field is beneficial/ preferred
  • Sustainability credential/certificate preferred (e.g. LEED, GRI, SASB or similar)

Responsibilities

  • Help execute sustainability strategies and initiatives on behalf of clients;
  • Gather, consolidate and analyze data and metrics that track progress and performance of clients’ sustainability programs globally across various funds;
  • Develop and implement processes for organizing large-scale datasets to gain insights that support business decisions;
  • Assist in the production of high quality, accurate and timely reports to clients;
  • Liaise with consultants, clients and work closely with asset and property management teams to ensure quality and consistency of data ;
  • Develop strong working knowledge of available data sources, including expertise in the utilization and interpretation of sustainability-related data;
  • Track market trends and implement emerging tools to streamline workflows; and
  • Perform additional ad-hoc analyses, as needed.
