As a Sushi Chef, this position will be responsible for preparing and filling customer orders and handling food in a safe manner. You will order and receive products; ensure orders are correct; labels, dates and puts product away. Additionally you will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members. This role requires exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions, treating customers as the most important people in the store, and making an effort to learn customers’ names. The Sushi Chef will also work with co-workers as a team, provide training, and ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment. The position involves understanding and practicing proper sanitation procedures and ensuring the work area is always clean and neat. It also includes involvement in scheduling and overseeing food ordering and planning, communicating with customers regarding food and food preparation, and aiding in merchandising techniques and food layout for sushi items.
