About The Position

As an Survivability Systems Engineer Associate, you will support the Specialty Engineering organization for the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) in Huntsville, Alabama or Littleton, CO in one or more of the following areas: Applying electrical, electronics, and physics theories to execute various tasks related to the survivability engineering field Ensuring that military space vehicle and missile designs, from component level to the box level will meet requirements during and after exposure to natural and manmade space radiation Conducting technical planning, specification requirements derivation, modeling and simulation, design, test planning and execution, documentation, requirements verification/validation to support overall needs and act as a technical consultant for customers Performing transient circuit analyses and coordinating with design teams to implement transient circuit mitigations.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related subject area
  • 1 year experience in Electrical Engineering and/or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on circuit analysis
  • Electrical engineering simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, PSPICE, etc.)
  • Familiarity with test laboratory environments and associated test fields and test equipment (e.g., data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and/or signal generators)
  • US Citizenship with the ability to acquire and maintain a security clearance

  • Understanding of Natural Space Radiation environments and Engineering
  • Understanding of electronic, electrical, electromechanical and electrooptical (EEEE) components
  • Work and collaborate with peers and senior specialists from within and outside the engineering group
  • Enthusiastic learner and willingness to be a mentor to others in the Survivability field
  • Understanding of anomaly resolution process
  • Organized and able to effectively multi-task in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Active or Current Secret clearance
