About The Position

Under general supervision, the Surveyor performs detailed field surveys at the assigned site. This role involves maintaining accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed. The Surveyor updates appropriate conventional and electronic (GIS) files, researches previous survey evidence, maps, physical evidence, and other records. They also recommend methods and procedures for conducting assigned surveys, prepare and present findings to engineering and operational personnel, and perform other duties as required. The position may also involve overseeing the activities of field survey crews.

Requirements

Advanced training or education in surveying, mapping or a related field
One (1) year surveying experience relevant to assignment
Pass a medical exam
Pass all required training and/or testing
Ability to work a non-standard schedule, which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation
Pass mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going drug and alcohol testing

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED
Part 107 UAS Drone License
Experience with Lidar Scanner
Experience with Trimble Business Center
Experience with LAS, LAZ, point clouds
Experience with Propeller or other Photogrammetry Software
