This position requires statewide travel and typically works four 10-hour days per week but must be willing to work additional hours/days, as needed. Must be willing to participate on storm evaluation and restoration teams (if necessary.) Please Note the Fleet/Driving verbiage at the bottom of this description. The Survey Technician is a highly skilled technical member of a field survey crew. This individual is responsible for performing all survey related field duties, including operating field instruments and data collection devices on land surveying projects for the Land Engineering department. Typical surveys may include deformation surveys, boundary surveys, topographical surveys, route surveys, establishing survey control points, etc. This individual will be required to accurately collect, edit, and process survey data, prepare necessary plots and reports, and properly store all data, plots and reports. This individual will be expected to conduct surveying work in the absence of daily supervision. The survey technician will work to ensure Land Engineering projects are completed accurately and on schedule while maintaining a focus on Safety Excellence. Position will be filled at appropriate level based on knowledge and experience.
